On Sunday, senior officials from Iran and Oman came together to enhance cooperation in a variety of sectors by signing four treaties.
During his official trip to Tehran, the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, signed the paperwork in question.
Tehran and Muscat have agreed to increase their partnership in the domains of economics, energy, and investment, in addition to free zones.
The Iranian ministries of petroleum, economic affairs, and finance, as well as the secretary-general of the Supreme Council of Free Trade-Industrial and Special Economic Zones, as well as the Omani minister of energy, finance, and trade, all put their signatures on the paperwork.
Iran and Oman Sign Four Agreements to Work Together
According to news TV, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian stated during a news conference with his Omani counterpart that in addition to the four papers, leaders of Iran and Oman intend to finish a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement in the near future.
According to Amirabdollahian, since President Ebrahim Raisi paid a visit to Muscat in May of last year, at which time 12 cooperation contracts were signed, the amount of trade that occurs between Iran and Oman has more than quadrupled.
He voiced his optimism that the recent agreements on cooperation will provide a further boost to the already burgeoning trade between the two nations.
