Senior military officers from Iran and Pakistan met to discuss potential avenues of collaboration between their respective ships and air forces.
During his visit to Islamabad, Commander of the Iranian Navy Rear Admiral Shahram Irani held separate talks with the Chief of Naval Staff of Pakistan, Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, and the Chief of Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force, Zaheer Ahmad Babar.
The head of the Iranian Navy and his team were given an update on the professional actions that the Pakistani Navy is conducting to ensure maritime security in the area, as well as the plans that are in place for both bilateral and multilateral collaboration.

The Iranian and Pakistani commanders also discussed plans to enhance cooperation between the ships of the two countries in a variety of fields, such as the exchange of delegations and training courses. This topic was brought up during the conversation between the Iranian and Pakistani commanders.
During the second day of his official visit to Islamabad, Rear Admiral Irani met with the commander of the Pakistani air force. This meeting took place on day two of his trip. They emphasized how important it is for the military and training institutions to work together in the aviation industry.
Additionally, the Iranian admiral lauded Pakistan’s efforts to preserve peace and order in the area.
Over the last several years, Iran and Pakistan have increased their level of military cooperation and have participated in a number of joint naval drills.
